OUR STORY
A LEGACY OF HARD WORK AND RELIABILITY.
Founded in 1955 by Helmer Pedersen, Pedersen Construction began with residential excavation, concrete work, and basement construction. What started as a family-owned business has grown into one of Northern Ontario’s most trusted construction partners, serving mining operations, municipalities, commercial clients, and communities across the region.
Today, Pedersen Construction remains family-owned and operated, employing between 100 and 150 skilled professionals during peak construction seasons. More than 70 years later, we continue to build on the values that have defined our company from the beginning—hard work, integrity, safety, and lasting relationships.

COMPANY FOUNDED
Helmer Pedersen established the company with a commitment to quality workmanship, dependable service, and lasting relationships.
1985
MOVED TO OUR CURRENT HEADQUARTERS
Operations relocated to our current headquarters in Temiskaming Shores, supporting continued growth across Northern Ontario.
1988
PEDERSEN CONCRETE LIMITED LAUNCHED
Expanded into ready-mix concrete production to better serve commercial, municipal, mining, and infrastructure projects.
